Our local artisans & hosts
Gusta Nissa is first and foremost a group of enthusiasts of the authentic Nice. Behind every tasting, every address, and every favorite, there is a person: a craftsman, a producer, a local host who shares their profession and their love for the local Nice terroir. And we've chosen each and every one of them ourselves.
We never work with just anyone. Never. That's our only rule, and it's non-negotiable.
How we choose our artisans
Before highlighting an address or taking you somewhere, we always apply the same criteria:
- The product first. We taste before we speak. If it doesn't really excite us, we don't list it — even if we like the person.
- Genuine expertise. Sincere craftsmanship, handmade, homemade. No industrial products disguised as "artisanal."
- The human touch. Passionate people who have a story, a place, genuine words — people we are happy to introduce to you.
- Local roots. Nice, the hinterland, the French Riviera. The terroir, not the marketing.
- Transparency. We know where what we put in your glass and on your plate comes from — and we tell you.
In the Magazine: an independent voice
In our magazine, we highlight artisans, producers, and good products in a broad sense — not just our partners. And we do it with complete independence.
Our word is not for sale. We never get paid to talk about someone. No disguised sponsored articles, no bought "favorites." When we recommend an address, it's because we believe in it — plain and simple.
This neutrality is what gives value to what we write: if we tell you a place is worth a detour, you can believe us.
For tastings: our highest level of standards
When it comes to the experiences we sell, the bar is raised even higher. We never take our clients somewhere we haven't personally experienced ourselves.
These are partners we know, whom we've met, tested, and re-tested, and to whom we would go with our eyes closed. When we take you to them, we are putting our name on the line.
Out of respect for them, we present their craft and their values here, not their brand: you book with Gusta Nissa, and we accompany you from start to finish — booking, bilingual welcome, group organization.
The professions we introduce you to
The sommelier
A lover of Provence wines and the Bellet vineyards, he takes you on a journey from one grape variety to another, from discovery glass to blind tasting. Pedagogical and unpretentious: he conveys the essentials, pleasure, and curiosity.
The cheesemonger
He knows his producers by their first name. With him, aged cheeses and cured meats become a story of terroir, altitude, and seasons — to be enjoyed classically or with your eyes closed.
